This spring/summer I did some bird monitorings. One of them regarded
the River Warbler Locustella fluviatillis. Only a few singers could be found.
One of them I found in a nice area called “Papitzer Lachen” (Papitz`s Puddles)

Here´s a recording of it, in the “background” a lot of European Tree Frogs
Hyla arborea. Astonishingly close a special guest.

During one of my nightly tours I met three funny tots begging for food.

Meanwhile waiting for the call of Eurasian Bittern Botaurus stellaris a Roe Deer Capreolus capreolus
came closer and called “alarm” as it noted us… Nearby a Nightingale Luscinia megarhynchos.
